The lamp is entirely made of (now cream) white coated metal with the front shade part in a racetrack shape with cut outs on the top and bottom.
This shade is connected to a diamond shaped wall fixture with rivets. It can hinge over about 40 degrees either way from the wall fixture creating for more light to shine upwards or downwards (or to the left and right if you would hang this lamp in a horizontal position!).
The lamp has a great graphic light effect. It is a sober lamp, well designed and perfectly fitting in the Scandinavian modern design legacy.
This 3050 model seems to have been quite successful at the time. It was made in many colors and was probably in production for well over a decade.
It first came to market in the 1970s. We date the one on offer here to the late 1970s to mid 1980s.
This 3050 follows in a longer line of mid century design classic wall lights by Lyfa, most notably the Peacock, Kvadrille and Septet wall lights by Bent Karlby.
There is no designer noted for the 3050 and we doubt greatly that it is (also) by Karlby.
The bulb holder is attached to the wall fixture. The wall fixture has two key hole cut outs by which it can be hung over two screws in your wall.
The lamp takes 1 E14 bulb with screw type fitting
