Rare, large vintage Mid-Century round circular bowl or dish designed by Swedish artist and sculptor Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905-1952) in 1948, produced circa 1950s.
As it was inspired by nature - there is an organic quality to the piece. This is part of the 'Paprika' range and, at the time, was extremely different to what was commonly produced in terms of aesthetics. The use of the sgraffito technique, however, was quite common at the time. Brown sgraffito with overlaid leaves and a flower glazed in white.
Beautiful and hard to find piece, especially in the larger size. Typically, the bowls / dishes tend to be a lot smaller - if you can find them.
In near perfect original condition. No chips.
